We added CSV (Comma Separated Value) as a file type for report generation due to the flexibility the format provides when dealing with your data. Realizing the flexibility of using the CSV format is maximized by having multiple options for where to send your NinjaCat-generated CSV files, when CSV is selected as your report format a new group of settings labeled Delivery Options will be revealed under Overrides. This article provides information on the delivery methods available.

Email and FTP Delivery Method Naming Rules
For Email and FTP delivery modes ONLY, the following functionality has been applied:
You are now able to apply a File Name for that report in the report profile settings, and that will become the name of the CSV file (instead of the table widget name).
It is recommended for users to only have one table widget per template, where the file name will become the name of the report (and overrides the table widget name if that is already given).
However, there aren’t any restrictions in the system that disallows users to have more than one table widget in a template with these delivery modes. If there are multiple table widgets in the template driving the CSV report with one of those delivery modes, the following logic is applied:
- 1st Widget: is an individual file. and will take on the given File Name that is set in the Report Profile settings
- 2nd Widget: is an individual file. and will take on the given File Name that is given in Report Settings, but be appended with ‘_2’
- 3rd Widget: is an individual file. and will take on the given File Name that is given in Report Settings, but be appended with ‘_3’
- …so on and so forth...
Email is the default delivery method. Use the already present email options to determine where and to whom the CSVs will go.
