NinjaCat’s Bulk Management feature allows for managing various platform areas in bulk. There are times when only a few changes need to be made and managing that manually in the system one at a time works. However, there are times when many changes need to be made and can become time-consuming for the user to manage.... this is where Bulk Management comes in!
First, this feature must be enabled for your NinjaCat environment by your Customer Success Manager and a review should take place over Zoom ahead of your first time utilizing the feature. Any user who holds the “System Admin” role will have access to the Bulk Management section under Settings after the feature has been enabled for you.
This article should be used to help guide you through the bulk management process for any currently supported areas of the platform. Under the "Edit Template CSV" section below, you will be urged to select another article link that will give you more details on how to update the template CSV specific to that particular area. We also have a list of best practices to guide you through the use of this feature.

- The information tables are specific to the section of NinjaCat that you want to edit in bulk. You must download the correct information table for the corresponding area.
- After you download the desired information table CSV you can open it in your favorite spreadsheet editor and add rows to or edit the data in the available columns.
1. Locate the desired area for editing
2. Click the corresponding "Export ... CSV" link

Upload Edited CSV
- After the data in the downloaded information table, CSV has been edited to your liking, you need to export a CSV file from your spreadsheet editor and upload that back into NinjaCat.
- The upload functions are on the same page as where the information table CSV can be downloaded.
- The uploaded CSV will instruct the system to make the desired bulk changes.

2. Select the section of NinjaCat that reflects the section information table CSV you downloaded = the section of NinjaCat you want to edit in bulk
3. Click "Browse files on your computer" to open a file browser
4. Navigate to then select the desired CSV file
5. Select "Upload"
NinjaNote: Only one uploaded file can be processed at a time and while the upload is in progress you can still work in NinjaCat. Just avoid the section of NinjaCat that is being edited by the upload.
Import History Record
- The Import History List is a record of all past upload actions.
- After being in progress, each upload will result in one of three statuses:
- Complete - This status means that the process was successful and the desired section of NinjaCat was updated correctly
- Failed - This status means that some aspect of the uploaded CSV file made the process completely unable to finish. More information about the reason for failure can be found by clicking on the download icon next to the status.
- Incomplete - This status means that some detail of the uploaded CSV file caused a selection of rows to not be updated. An error file that shows the affected rows can be downloaded by clicking on the download icon next to the status.
NinjaNote: When downloading an error report, the error message per row is listed in a new column at the far right of the file
