Being able to quickly assess the results of your marketing efforts is very important. NinjaCat provides tools for setting and tracking metric-based goals. This article lists the steps for setting a new goal.

Selecting Accounts To Track and Set Goal Targets
Access The Goals Page
1. Click on "Monitoring" in the main navigation
2. Click on "Campaigns" in the sub-navigation
Create Goal
1. Access the goals page
2. Click on the "Manage Goals" tab under "Campaign Monitoring"
3. Click on the "Create Campaign Goal" button in the top right
4. Appropriately fill in the fields in the following sections
General Goal Details
- Goal Name - The KPI name will appear on the KPI List view
- Data Sources - Select 1 or more Data source to create your KPI
- Metric - Select a metric based on 1 or more data sources chosen
- Use Margins - Toggle ON (toggled right) to include margins in cost metrics
- Thresholds Under and Over Target - Toggle ON (toggled right) to warn you when your projected gap falls outside of the acceptable range
- Warning and Critical States - Define the ranges for warning and critical statuses when KPIs fall short or exceed the KPI target
- Display Rate Scorecard - Toggle ON (toggled right) to display rates with percentages in a Scorecard format instead of a progress bar format
5. Click "Save Goal" in the bottom right to:
- Skip the use of filters
- Automatically set the beginning of the monthly cycle to the first of the month
- Instantly proceed to select an account or accounts and set targets for tracking
6. Click "Next" in the bottom right to move to:

7. Make the desired selections in the following sections
- Global Filters - Select a premade, Global Filter from the drop-down list to use to restrict metric results

- Cycles - Select the Start Date for your monthly cycle period
8. Click "Back" in the bottom right to return to the previous page
9. Click "Save Goal" to move on to the next step
Selecting Accounts To Track
10. Click the checkbox next to the Account or Accounts that you want to track with the goal created in the previous steps
11. Type a target value for your goal in the "Set Target..." field
NinjaNote: The Target value you set here will be applied automatically to every Account selected. In the following step, you will be able to edit the target per Account.
12. Click "Cancel" in the bottom left of the flyover window to close the bulk Account Add List
13. Click "Add" in the bottom right to:
- Close flyover window
- Add Accounts and Targets to the "Accounts" section of the "Add / Edit Accounts to KPI" page
14. On the "Add / Edit Accounts to Goal" page you can:
- View a preview of the general settings of the new goal
- Click on the "Add Multiple Accounts" button to bring the bulk Account add list back
- Click inside the "Accounts" list to:
- Change the Accounts in the list
- Edit the Target value
- Remove an Account from the list
- Click the "Add New Account" button to add a single Account to the list
15. Click "Save Goal" in the bottom right to confirm your settings and complete the creation process
