The first step to a helpful template is a good name. These simple steps will walk you through the process of renaming your template, whether it's a duplicate of an existing template, a starter template, or a brand new template. 

There are two ways to rename a template. The steps for each are below!

Rename Template on Canvas

1. Access the NinjaCat Template Builder

2. Select the desired template from the list or follow the instructions in the article Creating a Template From Scratch to get a new one

3. Click on the generic "New Template" name text or customized template name labeled "Template" in the top left of the canvas

4. Type in the desired new name of your template

5. Click outside of the template name text box, tap the enter/return key on your keyboard

6. Save your template by clicking on the "circle check" button in the menu bar in the top right

Rename in Global Settings

1. Access the NinjaCat Template Builder

2. Select the desired template from the list or follow the instructions in the article Creating a Template From Scratch to get a new one

3. Access the Global Template Settings

4. Click in the field labeled Template Name

5. Type your desired name into the field

6. Click on the "Save" button near the top right

You're now ready to work on your template and use further guides to modify pages and widgets to make this template your own.
