Are you creating reports for a franchise business with multiple locations? If so, you may need to create reports from each location and roll-up reporting that shows results for different combinations of the business locations. Making a NinjaCat Account for each location of the franchise and organizing them into Account Groups makes your job so much easier. Account Groups in NinjaCat lets you add organization category fields to your accounts. By adding qualitative values to these fields you flexibly group your accounts in many different ways. The following will tell you how to create the category fields and qualitative values to group the accounts.

Create a New Account Group Field
1. After clicking on "Accounts" in the Main Navigation Bar
2. Click on "Account Groups" in the sub-navigation
3. Click the "Add Account Group" button near the top right
4. Type a name for the New Account Group Field in the field under Account Group Name in the presented pop-up window
5. Click the "Add Account Group" button near the bottom right of the pop-up window
Creating New Account Group Values
1. After clicking on "Accounts" in the Main Navigation Bar
2. Click on "Account Groups" in the sub-navigation
3. Select the desired Account Group Field from the list
4. Click the "Add" button in the center or near the top right
5. Type the value into the field in the pop-up window labeled for the Account Group you selected
6. Click the "Add" button near the bottom right of the pop-up window
Adding Account Group Values to Fields
1. After clicking on "Accounts" in the Main Navigation Bar
2. Click on the desired account from the account list
3. Click on the "Settings" button near the top right
4. The "Account" Tab will be visible by default
5. Scroll to the "Account Groups" section
6. Click inside the field under the desired field name
7. Click on the desired value from the resulting drop-down menu
8. When done making any and all edits to the information on this page Clicking on the "Save" button will save your changes. Clicking on the "Save and Exit" button will save your changes and then return you to the Account Command Center.
View a List of Accounts that are Associated with a Particular Value
1. After clicking on "Accounts" in the Main Navigation Bar
2. Click on "Account Groups" in the sub-navigation
3. Select the desired Account Group Field from the list
4. Select the desired Account Group Value from the list
If there are any Accounts associated with this value they will be displayed under the heading, Associated Accounts.
Add More Accounts to a Particular Group by Associating with a Particular Value
1. After following the instructions in the section above, Click on the drop-down labeled "Choose Accounts to Associate"
2. Scroll through the revealed list to find or begin typing the name of the desired Account
3. Once the name of the desired Account is visible in the list Click on it to select it
NinjaNote: Next to each Account Name in the drop-down you will see the name of any value already associated with the Account from the same field. An Account can only be associated with one value per field.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 from above to add more Accounts to associate with this field value
5. After all of the desired accounts have been designated Click the button labeled "Add Accounts"
6. Click the button labeled "Save" in the bottom right
NinjaNote: Upon saving you will be notified that any designated Accounts that had previous associations will have those associations replaced if you continue, and will be given the opportunity to cancel.
