LinkedIn Organizations Account Matching After Upgrade
The LinkedIn Organizations API upgrade has changed account matching functionality. Users now have two alternative methods to associate accounts, ensuring continued functionality within NinjaCat.
Recently, we made a mandatory upgrade to the LinkedIn organization API for our native connector. One of the significant changes made by LinkedIn is the discontinuation of a method that allowed us to retrieve the complete account list from the API.
Impact of the Change
Due to this change, the account area in NinjaCat, where accounts are associated with a specific network, will no longer display the complete list of accounts in the dropdown menu as it did previously. Instead, we can only retrieve accounts that have at least one user associated with the network token linked to NinjaCat. Consequently, this will provide us with some, but not all, accounts. The accounts returned are those that have at least one user associated with the organization connected to NinjaCat.
Alternative Methods for Account Association
To address this limitation, we have introduced two alternative methods for associating an account from LinkedIn with NinjaCat:
Full ID Lookup: Users can provide the full ID of the organization to retrieve the account information.
Full Profile URL Name: Users can provide the full profile URL name of the organization to retrieve the account information.
