How to Create Dashboard Filters (Beta)

An interactive dashboard offers the opportunity to explore data through flexible manipulation. The dashboard filters feature is one way a NinjaCat dashboard provides that opportunity to you and your clients. Under the Dashboard Profile settings NinjaCat offers the ability to add controls to view all of the currency metrics with or without margins, and to filter all widgets using select dimensions.  This article covers how to turn on the Dashboard Margin Toggle, as well as everything you'll need to know to activate and customize Agency Dashboard Filters.

NinjaNote: To access the features shown in this article you must be a part of the Dashboard Filter Beta test. Contact your Customer Success Manager for information on how to enroll your agency in our Beta testing program

Available Dimensions for Agency Dashboard Filters

All of the dimensions available for Agency Dashboard Filters are aggregate dimensions that will attempt to filter all of the data present in the dashboard. The dimension results that create the filter options displayed in the dashboard do not contain any "Custom Display Names" or "Find and Replaces" that may be present in the templates creating the views in the dashboard.

NinjaNote: If a data source present in the dashboard does not have an aggregatable dimension set in NinjaCat for the dimension used to create an Agency Dashboard Filter, the results from that data source will be filtered out of every widget in the dashboard anytime a user uses that filter
