A Google Analytics 4 tracking tag can now be added to NinjaCat dashboards to monitor performance. This feature allows you to see who accessed the dashboard, how long they stayed, and measure the effectiveness of your reporting.

Create Web Data Stream
1. Login to Google Analytics
2. Select the desired Property
3. Click on "Admin" in bottom left
4. Click on "Data Streams" under "Data Collection and Modification"
5. Click on "Add Stream" in the top right
6. Click on "Web"
7. Enter the URL that is used by your clients to access their dashboard
8. Give your stream a custom title
9. Click "Create & Continue" in the top right
Copy Tracking ID
10. Select the recently created Data Stream
11. Copy the "Measurement ID"
Place Tracking ID
12. Paste into the field described in this linked instruction
Create Google Analytics 4 Custom Dimensions
1. Login to Google Analytics
2. Select the desired Property
3. Click on "Admin" in bottom left
4. Click on "Custom Definitions" under "Data Display"
5. Click on "Create custom dimension" in the top right
6. Type a name for your custom dimension
7. Type a short description for your custom dimension
8. Select the event parameter you want retrieved from the drop-down
- page_url - The URL of the page visited
- page_name - The name of the page the user visited
- page_id - The ID of the page the user visited
- account_name - The name of the account
- account_id - The ID of the account
- date_range - The date range applied to the dashboard
- comparison_date_range - The comparison date range select (if applicable)
- filters - The filters selected on the dashboard
NinjaNote: Google Analytics will not display the Event Parameters mentioned in step 8 until the tracking tag has been placed in the NinjaCat Agency Settings field for at least 24 hours
9. Click on "Save" in the top right
10. Repeat steps 4 - 9 for each custom dimension you want to create

NinjaNote: Google Analytics will not display Event Parameter data to the created custom dimensions for at least 24 hours after creation
