NinjaTrack Calls can now be sent directly to Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
Similar to how NinjaCat enables you to send and track NinjaTrack Calls in Google Analytics, we've updated our platform to allow you to send NinjaTrack calls to GA4 as well.
Sending NinjaTrack Calls to GA4
In order to begin sending calls to GA4, a GA4 property will need to be set up for the advertiser in NinjaCat.
You'll also need to add the Measurement ID and Measurement Secret into the "NinjaTrack Settings" section of your GA4 Data Source in NinjaCat. You can find your Measurement ID and Measurement Secret in GA4 by clicking into the Admin area and then selecting Data Streams.
Finally, you'll want to confirm that your NinjaTrack number is set to "Enable Analytics Event Tracking." To do so, navigate to the settings of your call tracking number in NinjaTrack. Under the "Notifications" tab, ensure "Enable Analytics Event Tracking" is enabled (it will have a checkmark). If you've completed all the steps above, NinjaCat will start sending calls to GA4!
Why release NinjaTrack Calls for GA4?
Google has scheduled the upcoming sunset of Universal Analytics (UA) for June 30, 2023, at which time Google Analytics will stop tracking data for standard accounts.
We want to ensure that NinjaCat customers utilizing NinjaTrack have the ability to track calls as needed in their new GA4 properties ahead of the June 30 deadline.
