How to retrieve a saved password in Chrome or Firefox browsers

With the release of Shinobi for NinjaCat, the domain of some URLs have been updated, which means that your login password is no longer saved by your web browser.

This guide will help you to retrieve your NinjaCat password from your previously saved cookie for easy login to the new Shinobi domain.

In Chrome browser:

In Chrome browser, click on the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the screen and navigate to the ‘settings’.

Once on the Settings page, scroll to the bottom of the page, click on ‘Show advanced settings…’ to expand the available settings. Scroll down to the ‘Passwords and forms’ section and click the ‘Manage passwords’ link.

On the ‘Passwords’ pop-up, find ‘myppcreports.com’ on the list of ‘Saved passwords.’ Clicking on the password to the right of the username will cause the ‘Show’ button to appear. Click on the ‘Show’ button.

For security purposes, you will be required to enter your Windows password. Chrome will then show your saved password in plain text.

In Firefox Browser:

Go to the ‘Options’ tab in the upper right hand corner of your screen. On the ‘Options’ menu, click the ‘Security’ tab on the left hand side of the screen. Under ‘Logins’ click the ‘Saved Logins…’ button.

On the ‘Saved Logins’ pop up, click the ‘Show Passwords’ button, and confirm the selection. Scroll down to ‘https://www.myppcreports.com’ to locate your password.
